Supporting Us
Your support is essential in helping us create a sustainable future for The Boys’ Brigade in Glasgow, ensuring that upcoming generations have the chance to embark on this adventure.
Here are just some of the ways you can support our work…
Donation
As a charity we rely on the donations from supporters to develop our work
Donations can be made through our Stewardship Giving Page https://www.stewardship.org.uk/partners/thebbglasgow
Donating in Memory
Donating in memory of a loved one is a meaningful way to honour their legacy. Every contribution we receive helps us continue our vital work supporting children and young people throughout the Battalion.
The simplest way of arranging this is through the local Funeral Directors.
Leaving a legacy
Leaving a gift in your will is a powerful way to ensure Boys’ Brigade Glasgow Battalion continues to positively impact the lives of local children and young people for generations. Under current legislation, if more than 10% of your gross estate is donated to charitable causes, the remainder of your estate qualifies for a reduced inheritance tax rate. If you already have a will and wish to make a simple addition—such as including a gift to Boys’ Brigade Glasgow Battalion—you can create a codicil. There is no limit to the number of codicils you can add, but they are best suited for straightforward changes. The codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as your will and kept safely with the original document. For more information or to discuss leaving a legacy to Glasgow Battalion Boys’ Brigade, please contact us at 0141 427 4051 or secretary@bbglasgow.org.uk.
