Battalion Training Courses 2024/25

We have the following training courses planned during the session, bookings can be made through our Cademy Portal.

Young People (in S3 or older) should attend a Building Your Skills course as part of the work towards their President's Badge, we run this course three times during the session, pick the date that suits.
- Building Your Skills Course No 1, Saturday 26th October, 9.45am - 1.15pm, at Battalion HQ
- Building Your Skills Course No 2, Sunday 19th January, 1.45pm - 5.15pm, at St John's Renfield Church (5th Glasgow)
- Building Your Skills Course No 3, Sunday 16th February, 1.45pm - 5.15pm, at 1st Bearsden BB Halls
Young People should attend a Skills for King's Badge course at the start of their KB work, we run this course three times during the session, pick the date that suits.
- Skills for King's Badge Course No 1, Sunday 8th September
- Skills for King's Badge Course No 2, Saturday 16th November, 9.45am - 1.15pm, at Battalion HQ
- Skills for King's Badge Course No 3, Sunday 26th January, 1.45pm - 5.15pm, at Battalion HQ
Youth Leader Training consists of seven modules, our course covers these over two days, attendance at both days is required.
- Part 1 - Saturday 2nd November, 9.45am - 5.45pm
- Part 2 - Sunday 3rd November, 1.45pm - 7pm
Safeguarding Courses we will be running a mix of online and in-person Safeguarding courses over the whole session, dates in the first half are
- Online course - Tuesday 20th August
- Online course - Thursday 19th September
- Online course - Wednesday 16th October, 6.30pm - 9.30pm
- In-person - Sunday 20th October 1.45pm - 4.15pm
- In-person - Saturday 2nd November 3.15pm - 5.45pm
- Online course - Monday 11th November, 6.30pm - 9.30pm
Company Management Training, for Captains and Leaders in Charge of Sections - Note the change of date
- Saturday 23rd November, 9.45am - 5.45pm, at Battalion HQ
Holiday Leadership Course
- Online course (over two evenings) - Wednesdays 26th February and 5th March, 6.45pm - 9.30pm
King's Badge Completion Residential
- Friday 28th - Sunday 30th March at Auchengillan - booking will open October / November
Campcraft Course
- Sunday 27th April, 1.45pm - 5.45pm, venue to be confirmed

Bookings can be made via our Online Events Booking Portal at glasgowboysbrigade.cademy.co.uk . We can accept online payment, or if you'd like a different payment method select Cash as the payment option, you can then pay by bank transfer (ask us for our details) or card, cash or cheque at the Battalion Office, and you can still book directly with us at the Battalion office.

We are also looking into running courses on First Aid and Working with Young People with Additional Support Needs. If you have other training needs please let us know.
